Deastro: A day in a life.. View Comments

Videographer and longtime friend James P. Morse followed wunderkid Randolph Chabot (a.k.a. Deastro) around for a day, and has put together a ‘day in a life’ style video for Ghostly International.
In this profile, we see a passionate young artist who seems fearless about chasing his dreams, and perhaps being a little naive while doing so. We find that Chabot loves Isaac Asimov (like who doesn’t!) and Simone de Beauvoir, and he is drawn to the energy of the current Detroit ’scene’.
It’s an excellent insight into the mind of one of the exciting emerging talents, and it’s worth checking out if you have been digging ‘Moondagger’ like pretty much everyone else.

Deastro recently showcased a semi new song ‘Zilwaukee’ live on Seattle’s KEXP with the full band. The track will be on a free EP that will be available sometime in July.
